Six months have passed since life as we knew it came to a screeching halt here in Colorado and across much of the world. At times it’s hard to imagine that much time has really gone by with this new reality, and yet it sometimes seems like an eternity.
When things closed down so did Shannon Jockel Photography. At first it was because I wasn’t considered an “essential business” and needed to follow our state directives. After awhile, I decided to hold off on doing client sessions because I was really enjoying the process of photographing my own children again. Having been an elementary school teacher for over ten years before I changed careers, it was an adventure to mix both photography and teaching as I helped my kiddos navigate learning at home.
School is officially back in session here, and my kids are super excited to be back with their classmates and teachers. I am mostly happy too, but it is still fun to look back through the images we created during our time “at home” in 2020.
