Hi,
I’m Shannon!

I’m the mama of a sporty fifth grade boy and a nonstop second grade girl, wife to my best friend of twenty plus years, and dog-mom to the best mutt around. I’m a former elementary school teacher, turned family photographer and I feel so very lucky to have found a second career that I just L-O-V-E!

I found photography at a very early age, zipping through dozens of those yellow disposable cameras and eagerly waiting for them to be developed. My closets are filled with stacks of photo albums I created over the years, first as 4 x 6 prints, and later as photo book stories of my life. My first career as a teacher of small children allowed me time to pursue my passion for photography on the side, but now it is front and center and I couldn’t be happier!

When I’m not juggling my crazy mom-life schedule, you can find me working with families capturing memories and telling their unique story through photos. I’m completely obsessed with the timeless feel of black and white photography, so you’ll definitely see a lot of that from me, but don’t worry I shoot lots of color too.

Bedtime Stories with My Kids

When I’m not out photographing other families I’m with my own, documenting our days and creating lasting images for my children. I want my kiddos to be able to look back and see their beautiful childhood story as told through photos taken by their mom.

My family photos are by Amy Liehr, Alison Selmon, Beth Cagnoni, and Sara Garcia.
